Three New SPS Awards Now Available: Nominations due August 3

The SPS Awards Committee is pleased to present three new awards! 

·         Translational Safety Pharmacology Award 

·         Technological Innovation Award

·         Most Impactful Publication Award

 

Nominate a colleague, or yourself, by August 3 to be considered for an award in 2017. 

Translational Safety Pharmacology Award

The Translational Safety Pharmacology Award is an award given for research based on the evaluation of the translation from in silico to in vitro, in vitro to in vivo, or in silico, in vitro and/or in vivo to human. 

CRITERIA: To be considered for this award the research must have been submitted as a meeting abstract or publication in the last two years (January 1, 2015 or newer).  At least one author on the abstract/publication must be an SPS Member.

TO APPLY: If you wish to apply for this award, please send the abstract (indicate which year/meeting it was presented) or publication information to SPS Headquarters, for Committee review.  The recipient of this award will receive a certificate and acknowledgement at the SPS Annual Meeting.               

 

Technological Innovation Award

The Technological Innovation Award is an award given for research based on a ‘breakthrough’ technology that could potentially enhance/revolutionize the way we are doing an aspect of safety pharmacology. 

CRITERIA: To be considered for this award the research must have been submitted as a meeting abstract or publication in the last two years (January 1, 2015 or newer).  At least one author on the abstract/publication must be an SPS Member.

TO APPLY: If you wish to apply for this award, please send the Abstract (indicate which year/meeting it was presented) or publication information to SPS Headquarters, for Committee review.  The recipient of this award will receive a certificate and acknowledgement at the SPS Annual Meeting.               

 

Most Impactful Publication Award

The Most Impactful Publication Award is an award given to recognize an exceptional, recently published paper that impacts scientific advancement in safety pharmacology. 

CRITERIA: Eligible papers must be published within the last two years (January 1, 2015 or newer) and may appear in any peer-reviewed journal. The applicant must be the first author and a member of the Safety Pharmacology Society. 

TO APPLY: If you wish to apply for this award, please send a copy of the publication and any documentation that supports its scientific impact in safety pharmacology, to SPS Headquarters, for review.  The recipient of this award will receive a certificate and acknowledgement at the SPS Annual Meeting.
